Based on the California Bay area, custom molder Jatco Incorporated has already gone international with a plant in Guangdong, China, and is now going national with a new foundry focused on to be opened in South Carolina during the first quarter of 2011. CEO Paul Appelblom PlasticsToday Jatco said the current building of 38,000 m2 in Greenwood, South Carolina will start with two injection machines ranging from 110-720 tons of clamping force and a staff of 15-20 people . Jatco said it intends to hire locally, and added that the word must be out to that extent it has received a lot of resumes. Also usually in search of new business, Appelblom said a main reason for this location is the proximity to a lovely client to Jatco has been sending at least one container of 53 feet a week. This will cut the cost of shipping the customer, and there are other existing customers in Florida and the Carolinas.
